Yoga & The Diaspora - Immerse in the Culture and Beauty of the Isla del Encanto
Join us for a weekend of movement, music, delicious creole cuisine and community. The richness of Puerto Rican culture is vast. It blends the best of what each of the unique blends of Arawak Indigenous Indians, the Spaniards, and the West African cultures.
You are invited to try morning bilingual yoga offerings influenced by Puerto Rican music and culture. Meditations immersed in nature and by ocean waves. Guided by your hostess, Erica Garcia Abergel, ERYT 500, you will have an opportunity to deepen and renew your yoga practice, through daily morning gentle vinyasa flow classes, as well as evening yin/restorative yoga classes with sound baths all inspired by the sounds and spirit of the island. You will also have enough down time to schedule a complimentary 30 minute holistic offering - Reiki, doTERRA AromaTouch or life coaching session before you head back home.
Take a hike in the nature reserve and stumble upon old ruins. Visit the nearby and antique customs building and pier or walk downtown and tour the multitude of commissioned murals and art in Humacao. Want a lively time? Check out the food kiosks located right on the main road. You may even catch a local band and dance the night away. Take a ride and visit old San Juan or Loiza. Taste the rums of the island. Dance to the beats of the drums. The island and its offerings are a plenty and have been overlooked for too long. Stay in a home that is nestled within the nature reserve and within a gated community with a private beach. Please plan ahead to reduce unnecessary business contacts during this time. We want you to be able to rest and relax from the everyday stresses of life.
